DIARY: Parker brings up rear in Mail on Sunday rich list

Brunswick owner Alan Parker only just scraped into this year's Mail on Sunday Rich Report after dropping 109 places to last on the list of the UK's top 300 millionaires.

To rub salt into his wounds, the paper found space for further coverage of rumours of an imminent agency sell-off - but only if the agency's expected £100m price-tag is dropped further. Presumably to satisfy the acquisitive nature of Lord Bell's Chime Communications.

But before readers bombard Brunswick with offers of charitable donations, Diary urges caution.

Despite losing £68m since last year's list, Parker is still believed to have a tidy personal fortune of £95m - including a £88m stake in Brunswick and a £7m mansion in Notting Hill.

Good news, though, for WPP group CEO Sir Martin Sorrell - he leaps from 279th to 256th after adding £9m to his now £121m fortune.
