Limehouse opens UK audit service to avert disaster

Crisis management consultancy Limehouse Partners this week launched its audit service to offer UK public companies a one-off 'health-check' to assess their vulnerability in the face of a disaster.

Limehouse founder and MD Charles Lankester said the product was put together in the wake of the events of 11 September, and following the 2001 CEO survey in PRWeek US (26 November 2001), highlighting the need for effective crisis comms planning.

'Crisis management has become top of people's agenda now, for all the wrong reasons. Our service reports precisely where firms are well-prepared and where they need help, before the crisis hits. Creating a crisis plan on the spot is like trying to jump on a galloping horse. It only works in old Westerns,' he said.

Although there are several other strategic counsel services dealing with crisis comms, Lankester said he had experienced interest from the oil and energy, pharma and transport sectors.
