DIARY: Speculation mounts in lobbyland on future of axed spin doctor Moore

Cruel voices in the lobbying sector are speculating as to where former Westminster Strategy account director Jo Moore will turn up next.

'Well, she's cynical, manipulative and is widely disliked for well-founded reasons,' rumbles the grapevine, 'so she belongs at XXXX (fill in name of your most disliked PA shop).'

Wise heads in lobbyland are betting that despite WS chair and industry grandee Michael Burrell's reluctance to comment on the matter, he would rather get caught handing ministers' bags of used banknotes than have Moore back under his charge.

Outgoing DTLR comms chief Martin Sixsmith is likely to fare better in securing employment in corporate or public affairs. Despite, or perhaps because of, falling on his sword alongside Moore, Sixsmith is now seen in PA as the man who felled the most rotten tree in the PR garden.
