DIARY: Cohn & Wolfe keen on healthcare client - but not Colgate Palmolive

The upwardly-mobile types of Cohn & Wolfe gathered in London's Circus nightclub last week to celebrate the agency's recent batch of internal promotions.

Martin Ellis was on hand to celebrate his elevation to executive V-P and MD of international development, a title not to be attempted after a few Martinis, particularly when V-P of Air Miles-gathering is so much more catchy.

C&W bosses also used the West End knees-up as an opportunity to tout a lucrative win for their healthcare practice. But sadly, not a single member of the agency's merry staff were able to remember the name of the brand, let alone pronounce it.

If this was a ruse Cohn & Wolfe has invented to protect the confidentiality of their clients, one can only hope it will catch on.

No mention though of the recent loss of the Colgate Palmolive consumer brief. Strange, that.
