Drum set to scoop remit for launch of Mercedes range

Consumer agency The Drum Consultancy is on the verge of scooping the PR remit for the launch of a range of vehicles by Mercedes Benz.

The agency has just concluded one piece of project work in Sweden, to promote the German car giant's M-Class range, and is understood to be meeting with the firm to discuss becoming involved in vehicle launches later this year.

Drum MD Karen Hughes confirmed talks were taking place but refused to comment on the nature of the discussions or the vehicle to be launched.

No-one from Mercedes-Benz was available to comment.

Three new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The principal launch will be the firm's new two-door coupe, the CLK-Class, while a top-of-the-range A-Class car and a large people-moving vehicle (MPV) are also set to be premiered.
