MEDIA BRIEFS: Radio Five Live to bolster news output in move

RADIO FIVE LIVE: BBC Radio Five Live is to bolster its financial and business news output in a move that will also see a doubling in the length of its Wake Up To Money slot. The show, which currently airs weekdays from 5.45am to 6am, will be extended to a half-hour slot from 5.30am. The move follows a reshuffle of the station's news editing in November last year, aimed at broadening the appeal of its news output, including placing more workplace issues on the agenda (PRWeek, 30 November 2001).
