INTERNATIONAL: Hotwire to target French tech firms with Paris bureau

PARIS: Hotwire PR is to launch its third overseas office in six months, targeting the French technology market.

Hotwire - led by London-based former Miller Shandwick CEO Kristin Syltevik - is to open in Paris in April and has hired Bernard Cazelle as regional partner to lead the bureau.

The news follows the agency's launch in Germany earlier this month (PRWeek, 8 February).

French national Cazelle joins Hotwire from full-service Paris agency 3d Communication, where he founded and led the PR division.

Cazelle, who also previously worked as head of communications at ICL in France, said he aims to recruit six staff and win up to ten clients by the end of 2002.

Syltevik said the addition of the Paris office to its offerings in London, Dublin and Frankfurt, moves Hotwire closer to its aim of becoming a pan-European tech PR firm.
