Bic retains Image Wizard for pens and Tipp-Ex work

Bic has hired Image Wizard PR as its retained UK agency for its stationery brands.

The agency, which handled the launch of Bic's Softwin disposable razor in 2000, will net annual six-figure fees handling the firm's pens and Tipp-Ex lines.

Image Wizard will principally provide a 'reactive' press office, and general media relations work, in particular for the promotion of Bic's recent launch, Z4. The brief is based on consumer and trade PR.

The appointment is the first time Bic has used agency support for the stationery brands in three years.

Image Wizard MD Steve Malkin heads the account, reporting to Bic category marketing manager Gareth Newton.
