Wall's to launch PR blitz for meat product brands

Food brand Wall's is launching its biggest-ever PR blitz as part of a £4m above and below-the-line promotional campaign.

The group is to hold a nationwide communications push for its bacon and sausage brands, including sponsorship, events PR and national and regional media relations.

Wall's, which is owned by Kerry Foods, this month launched its ad campaign and is to kick off its below-the-line work within weeks.

Marcoms agency Haygarth Group is driving the PR and promotional marketing briefs for the campaign, working alongside ad agency McCann Ericsson.

Haygarth PR account director Jessica Scott-Forbes leads the PR remit. She said: 'The brief is to provide consumer PR for the Wall's sausage and bacon brands, with a different focus for each brand in terms of audience.'

The PR team will be focusing on product launches, the slimming market for the Wall's Lean range and promoting Wall's sponsorship of National BBQ Week in May.

- Haygarth PR has been appointed by Associated Press Television News (APTN) to build the brand among consumers and non-broadcast audiences.
