MEDIA: Heart and Galaxy radio stations in website revamp

Chrysalis Radio has revamped the websites for its Heart and Galaxy FM stations, with the aim of publishing more up-to-date and localised content.

The sites, designed by US-based internet firm First Media Works, are expected to enable staff based at the local stations to use a simple interface to change content on their sites rather than sending their content through the London head office as previously.

Chrysalis Radio CEO Phil Riley said: 'We found it was too difficult to organise all of the websites separately.'

He added there would be varying quantities of local news and entertainment listings across the two brands: 'The Galaxy stations will not be as news-focused. Galaxy will be about changing playlists and DJ pages, while the Heart pages will be more information-led with local news and weather.'

Heart FM broadcasts in London and the Midlands, while Galaxy FM covers south Wales, the south-west, Birmingham, Manchester, Yorkshire and the north-east.
