The charismatic new leader of Publicis Groupe, Arthur Sadoun has a tough act to follow in Maurice Lévy, who oversaw the French holding company for 30 years and increased its value almost 100-fold.
But Sadoun has already demonstrated tenacity in topping the pile of candidates to succeed Lévy. And having had MSLGroup under his aegis since June 2015, Sadoun understands PR’s value to the integrated Publicis Communications structure he introduced 18 months ago, encompassing MSL and creative firms including Leo Burnett and Publicis Worldwide.
The Power of One offer Sadoun also ushered in has already paid dividends for MSL, increasing work with the network’s top 20 clients from eight to 14.
The PR arm led by Guillaume Herbette won 60 clients in Asia via the offer and brought in about €25 million of new global business in 2016, including integrated work for USAA.
