YoYo wins pitch to promote Lypsyl brand for Novartis

The PR arm of YoYo has been handed the consumer and trade account for Novartis's Lypsyl lip-balm range.

The agency has been hired following a competitive pitch to the newly created account with a brief to concentrate on promoting the brand among teenagers.

PR for the brand was previously handled in-house.

Maxine Carrington, YoYo account director, said: 'Not much promotional work had been done for the brand for a while.'

She added that promotional work would include a National Kissing Day event on 6 July and 'activity' at music concerts, including the pop band S-Club 7's current tour.

The YoYo team reports to brand manager Lisa Sharratt.

The PR arm of YoYo, a group which also handles advertising and marketing, was known as Keene Communications until November last year (PRWeek, 2 November 2001).
