MD Goldsmith departs Text 100

Text 100 MD Glen Goldsmith has quit after five years.

Goldsmith has not yet announced his plans and the firm has confirmed it will not directly replace him.

Text senior V-P of northern Europe Andy West said he will be assuming the MD responsibilities alongside his current role heading operations across the UK, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands and France.

The news comes just weeks after Text 100 parent One Monday Group reported a profit slump of 79 per cent, with pre-tax profits standing at £230,000 for the six months to January, from £1.1m the year before.

Goldsmith said he would take a 'short break', adding: 'I'm considering launching a small company where I've got all the client-facing work, as a lot of my work at Text was about managing people.'
