PUBLIC SECTOR: PPP Foundation sets up strategy and comms role

Independent healthcare organisation The PPP Foundation is seeking to appoint a director of strategy and communications.

The newly created role is part of a drive to raise its profile and become an influential voice on UK health policy.

A dedicated communications effort has been non-existent, admitted CEO Stephen Thorton.

'We are the second biggest charitable health trust in the UK with a £20m investment budget. We need to be known,' he said.

The appointee will be responsible for building the Foundation's profile and reputation so as 'to match our resources and our ambition'.

The PPP Foundation - originally called the PPP Healthcare Medical Trust - was officially launched earlier this year following the sale of the PPP Healthcare Group. The charity is now completely independent of the PPP healthcare private company.
