Weber's Hogwood hot-foots to Portland

Chris Hogwood has joined Portland as a partner, and will lead its local-government focused division Portland Local. We was previously deputy head of public affairs and head of property at Weber Shandwick, and before that worked for local government pressure group London Councils. Weber earlier this week unveiled long-time Number 10 adviser under David Cameron, Kate Shouesmith, as its new deputy head of public affairs.

The PR Network signs up Vistage

Vistage International, a global membership organisations for MDs, CEOs and other executives, has awarded its UK and Ireland PR account to London's The PR Network. Vistage was founded in the US in 1957 and has more than 21,000 members globally. Its UK membership is more than 1,300. The PR Network is a virtual agency that is 137th in the 2017 PRWeek UK Top 150. Other clients include Zipcar and Dropbox, while recent wins include tortilla chip brand Manomasa and National Clean Air Day.

Instinct clicks with online retailer

Consumer agency Instinct PR has been appointed as the retained UK agency for EMP. Established in 1986 in Germany, EMP is an online entertainment retailer with a range of more than 20,000 products.

Four Rain's luxury win

Four Rain, the division of Four Communications Group created by its acquisition of Rain last year, has been appointed as the UK PR agency for the French luxury brand S.T Dupont to deliver a programme of activity that will increase the brands profile as a significant luxury brand in the UK market.
