Forster Communications has been selected by the Infection Prevention Society to help position the organisation as the UK’s leading authority on infection prevention and control. Following a recent campaign to inform and educate patients on seasonal infections, Forster is now promoting Infection Prevention Society’s voice on a range of key healthcare issues, including healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.
Environmental win for Higginson
Higginson PR has been appointed by environmental group A Plastic Planet for a comms brief to put pressure on supermarkets to provide plastic packaging-free aisles. The agency will coordinate an initial three-month campaign emphasising the need to reduce consumption of single use plastic. A Plastic Planet launched its #PlasticFreeAisle campaign in February with a front-page story in the Daily Telegraph and received coverage on Sky and in the Mail on Sunday. Higginson was launched in February this year by former lobby journalists John and Clodagh Higginson.
Aisle 8 picks up luggage brand
Aisle 8 has been appointed by New York based luggage brand Away, to deliver all its UK PR and comms. The agency, which will manage the UK launch and ongoing consumer PR activity for the brand and its founders, won the account following a competitive pitch with multiple agencies. The win follows Aisle 8’s appointment by Karen Millen in September for the brand’s 2017 PR strategy.
Instinct PR wins shopping channel
Consumer PR agency Instinct has been appointed by TV shopping channel QVC, following a competitive pitch in March. The agency has been tasked with managing PR activity across QVC’s fashion, jewellery, accessories and home categories ranges in the UK. QVC also works with Modus Publicity across its beauty portfolio, while Flagship Consulting handles trade and corporate communications.
Neo wins Oracle brief
Oracle Marketing Cloud has appointed Neo PR to run its UK PR campaign, including thought leadership, news-based activity, social media and customer-led advocacy.
Builder hires Open Communications
Yorkshire's Open Communications has been taken on by homebuilder Strata Homes. It will provide a press office and introduce strategic corporate communications to reinforce Strata's position as a leading voice for SMEs in the North.
