Octopus replaces MHP in the role, which the agency said would include a PR programme aimed at reinforcing Adecco’s position as a thought leader in the sector. It will also support a number of Adecco’s recruitment and HR services brands, including Office Angels, Badenoch & Clark and Modis.
Adecco UK chief marketing officer David Malkinson said: "We have ambitious plans to deliver game-changing thought leadership, insight and expertise, which will make a real difference to our clients and candidates. We’re already making great strides in this regard with some of our recent programmes, such as CEO for One Month, and we’re delighted to now have Octopus Group on board to support us as we look to build on this.
"We were really impressed with Octopus’ knowledge and experience of our sector, and the creative approach they have demonstrated. Their integrated approach, where PR sits at the heart of a wider inbound marketing programme, was also exactly the direction we’re looking to take."
Tom Holland, group director at Octopus Group, said: "There is so much potential here to deliver creative, high-impact campaigns around some of the most interesting and important issues within business, the economy and wider society today."
Headquartered in Switzerland, Adecco is a Fortune Global 500 company, employing over 31,000 staff in more than 60 countries.
Octopus ranked 51st in the 2016 edition of the PRWeek UK Top 150, and is one of the magazine's Best Places to Work for 2017.
