Milton launches Pulse Brands with strategic mission

Former Burson-Marsteller director Simon Milton this week launched an agency - Pulse Brands - dedicated to integrating PR campaigns into the core of a client's business strategy.

Milton, who spent almost a year at B-M's interactive PR unit after a six-year stint at Biss Lancaster, takes the title managing director in the new operation. The firm is affiliated to Contacts Communications, a design shop run by business partner and Pulse equity holder Chris Bicknell.

The firm launches with three clients: CRM outsourcing provider DataForce, creative consultancy Nowhere Group and an unnamed private equity house.

Milton has based Pulse Brands on what he calls 'The Brand Authenticity Cycle,' which aims to convince clients to ally their business strategy with their aims in communications.
