Bar and restaurant group hires FSC

Leisure, hospitality and food and drink specialist Fleet Street Communications (FSC) has been appointed by the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers to run its comms strategy. The ALMR is a trade association for eating out and drinking out marketing, championing bar and restaurant groups. Its 200 member companies have a total of 23,000 UK venues. FSC will work to communicate the agency's success to existing and new members, and position it as the leading commentator on the sector.

Hotwire wins video platform

Hotwire has been selected as the UK integrated comms agency for Newsflare, an online video news platform and marketplace for user-generated video content, following a six-way pitch. Hotwire will lead consumer and b2b comms for its client, raising its profile through media relations and thought leadership.

Bell Pottinger joins forces with law firm

Bell Pottinger and the law firm Michelmores have reached an agreement to provide a crisis management service for the alternative financial services market. According to Bell Pottinger, the greatest single risk to that sector is a collapse in investor or lender confidence, which can easily spring from crises of various sorts.

90TEN brings director from Ketchum

Healthcare comms firm 90TEN has appointed Stephanie O'Hagan as associate director in its PR division. She joins from Ketchum where she was a senior account director, having also worked at Havas Lynx and Ogilvy Healthworld prior to that.

Grifco wins holiday company

Grifco has been appointed as the UK PR agency for The Dream Lodge Group, a luxury holiday company with eight locations across the country.

Energy firm hires TWA

Chorley's The Write Angle has been appointed to domestic and business energy supplier PFP Energy to fulfil its comms brief.
