Cardew Group names new MD
Cardew Group has promoted Shan Shan Willenbrock to MD. Willenbrock joined the agency in 2005 as an account manager and was most recently a director. Separately, David Roach has been promoted to a director at the agency, which focuses on the international corporate and M&A sectors. Anthony Cardew, chairman of Cardew Group, said: "Shan and David’s promotions are an important part of positioning the company for further growth in the future."
Murray Chalmers PR launches division for ‘personalities’
Murray Chalmers PR (MCPR), the eponymous agency of entertainment PR specialist Chalmers, has launched a ‘personality’ PR division. Initial clients for the five-strong team include actress and TV presenter Ayda Field, beauty blogger and YouTube star Fleur de Force and classical cross-over artist Carly Paoli. MCPR also announced a series of new client wins in 2017, including Wild Life Festival 2017, as well as winning an expanded brief with Attitude Magazine.
Youth Sports Trust takes on Action PR
Charity the Youth Sports Trust (YST) has hired health and fitness comms agency Action PR to create and deliver its Girls Active Awards campaign, to tackle declining participation in sport among girls aged 11 to 14. The remit is also to support the YST’s work with black Asian and minority ethnic communities and students with English as an additional language. The year-long contract was won following a competitive pitch.
Kaizo hires first head of editorial
PR and digital comms agency Kaizo has hired industry journalist Adam Hartley as its first head of editorial, to "strengthen its content offer across its business". His role will include extending the content-led programmes for clients and developing new services. Hartley was launch news editor of tech website TechRadar.com and has contributed to media including Flipside (the IET’s science and technology magazine for schools), Gizmodo, T3 and others.
Grace Blue appoints Finn
Grace Blue, the executive search agency for the advertising, marketing and comms sector, has hired PR agency Finn. The agency said its brief is to support Grace Blue’s business strategy this year as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
