Mash to promote LGBT+ wealth fund

Investment firm Equality Capital has appointed Mash PR to promote its ethical wealth management for LGBT+ rights and social justice, following a competitive pitch. The firm screens and scores markets on how ethical they are based on six key criteria - marriage equality, civil partnerships, discrimination laws in employment, adoption rights, military service rights and legal punishments for being LGBT - and invests its clients' money accordingly.

Docklands area hires PR support

The Communication Group has been taken on to manage PR for the Westferry Printworks area of the London's Docklands. The site was previously where Northern & Shell publications were printed until 2011, but is now being redeveloped into residential space. The publisher and developer Mace are overseeing the project.

Kazoo wins rugby players fashion brand

Fashion brand Eden Park, established by French international rugby players Franck Mesnel and Eric Blanc, has appointed PR firm Kazoo to raise its profile among fashion and lifestyle media and bloggers within the UK and Ireland. Kazoo will manage Eden Park’s creative press office and product placement, as well as exploiting its current sponsorship deal with the Rugby Football Union and the Irish Rugby Football Union, the agency said.

Beano hires Borkowski for corporate work

Borkowski has been appointed to create a corporate comms strategy for Beano Studios, the new multi-platform entertainment programme for children. House PR had been hired last summer to launch Beano Studios and continues to provide consumer PR support.

Tech firm Synechron appoints Rostrum

Tech consulting firm Synechron has appointed PR and content agency Rostrum to raise its profile in the UK, following a campaign in response to Brexit last year. The agency has been tasked with building Synechron’s presence in the financial services, technology and digital sectors through a strategic media relations and content programme. Rostrum also works with consultancy Crossbridge, which Synechron acquired in 2015. 

Teneo Blue Rubicon consultant cruises off

Natalie Billington has been appointed by cruise company MSC as UK and Ireland PR manager. She joins from Teneo Blue Rubicon where she was a consultant, having previously worked at MSC rivals P&O and Princess Cruises.
