Flint opens second office in India

London-headquartered cultural comms specialist Flint has opened its second office in India, in Mumbai. The firm had first opened Flint Asia in New Delhi in 2011, and has worked with clients including the India Art Fair, the National Gallery of Modern Art, and UK clients including Christie's and the British Council. The office will be led by Wol Balston, director of Flint Asia, who relocates from the Mumbai office supported by two other staff.

Quiller goes corporate with Chandler

Jon Chandler, formerly a partner at Reputation Inc, has joined Quiller Consultants to lead a dedicated corporate reputation practice. He has previously held in-house roles at Coca-Cola and British Airways, among others, later worked for APCO, and is now vice chair of the PRCA Council. It marks a new move for the firm, which is best known for providing government relations and public affairs services. Recent clients include BT, Paypal and The Co-Operative Group. It is owned by Huntsworth Group.

Mason Williams appointed by hotel group

Lapithus Hotels Management UK has taken on Mason Williams to handle PR for the 21 Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels it operates on behalf of InterContinental Hotels Group. The operator was formed in 2015, and eight of its hotels are in greater London.

Games body hires public affairs head

Tim Scott is joining the video games and interactive entertainment industry trade body as head of public affairs. He joins from business group London First, where he was programme director for tech and creative industries, following ten years in the civil service where he led creative industries and tech policy in the Cabinet Office and Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Car charger plugs in Threepipe for launch

NewMotion, a charging provider for electric cars, has appointed Threepipe to help with its UK launch in 2017. Launched in the Netherlands in 2009, NewMotion offers over 30,000 cloud-connected smart charge points through its public charge network and has over 80,000 registered charge cards throughout Europe.

Brandwatch taken on by Prince's Trust

Youth employment and training charity The Prince's Trust has taken on Brandwatch to provide social media analytics services, to help direct future campaigns and provide insights into the charity and the topics and issues that are a priority for its supporters.

Baby charity gets Bottle

Oxford-based Bottle has been appointed by Tommy’s, the charity supporting families of babies who go through pregnancy problems. This campaign will be in partnership with the leading baby swim school, Water Babies. Together they hope to raise £1 million.

Gallacher moves up at Markettiers

Andy Gallacher, who launched broadcast agency Markettiers' office in Manchester six years ago, has been promoted to the role of director of strategy and insight across the business as a whole. The firm's Manchester office recently took on a new general manager, and has now also taken on new senior account executive David Lee, who has worked at ITV Daytime, Inside Out North West and BBC Breakfast, as well as a new junior account executive.
