Metia gets EMEA VP
Stuart Handley has joined b2b marketing agency Metia as VP of the EMEA region. He was previously VP of brand at email cloud services firm Mimecast, and led comms for its Nasdaq IPO. He will work with clients including Microsoft, Dell, Misys and Workday.
APCO hired by HH Global
APCO Worldwide has been taken on by British production and procurement firm HH Global on a six-month brief. The agency is tasked with showcasing its client's innovation in sustainability and tech as it looks to further its global expansion. Work began last month.
Whisky business for McFrank
McFrank, the Scottish arm of Frank, has been taken on by Tomatin Distillery to handle its retained consumer and trade PR across the UK. Hired after a competitive pitch, the agency will also oversee two new releases in March and July for the Japanese-owned single malt producer.
Capella to launch Holiday Crowd
The agency Capella has won the brief to support the launch of Holiday Crowd, a new investment platform specifically aimed at the holiday property market. Holiday Crowd enables its customers to build a portfolio of holiday property investments from £1,000, generating returns based on rental income and price growth.
Gastroenterology win for Spink
The Vienna-based European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition, a non-profit professional organisation, has appointed healthcare specialist agency Spink to manage communications for its 50th Annual Congress in Prague in May. The West Sussex firm is the first UK agency with which the society has worked.
Wearable brief for Promote
Polar, the global maker of wearable sports technology, has appointed Promote PR to manage consumer and trade public relations and sports marketing in the UK.
