Football legends event Star Sixes signs up Adrian Bevington’s PR firm

Adrian Bevington Sport & PR, the agency headed by former FA comms director Bevington, has been hired to manage PR and comms for the inaugural Star Sixes football legends tournament at London’s O2 next July. Star Sixes will feature football legends including Steven Gerrard, Carles Puyol and Robert Pires playing in their national colours for the six-a-side tournament. Twelve national sides will feature at the event, which takes places at The O2 from 13 to 16 July.

Chandler Chicco co-founder launches network of healthcare comms firms

Chandler Chicco co-founder Bob Chandler has returned from his two-year retirement to launch a network of healthcare communications firms called Watershed Bridges, and MaxAscent, one of the agencies within the network. MaxAscent, a patient-focused agency, provides clients with PR, social, digital, advertising, public affairs, corporate positioning, and crisis management services. Social-media platform Twitch hires Kazoo

Twitch, the social-video platform for video-game culture and the creative arts, has appointed Kazoo Communications as its first UK PR agency. Kazoo will run a "content-driven press office" for Twitch, the agency said. Work starts with an initial focus on engaging business, technology and gaming media.

Law firm MJ Hudson appoints Cubitt Consulting

MJ Hudson, the law and professional services firm for the alternative assets industry, has appointed Cubitt Consulting to provide strategic comms advisory services across Europe. MJ Hudson provides advice and operating infrastructure to more than 300 asset managers worldwide, with assets worth £200 billion under management.
