PRWeek reported in September that the company was reviewing its EMEA PR support, with both Havas and Edelman - both of whom already worked with the company - among the agencies lining up.
In a statement, Kellogg's confirmed that it had decided to work with Havas PR to develop brand PR for its cereal business in 2017.
The company also said it would not contract additional local agencies for brand work, but that local comms teams can take on corporate or public affairs agencies as required.
The account will be led from Havas' UK headquarters in Manchester, by director Nigel Hughes.
"Havas demonstrated a highly creative response to brief and a willingness to work with us to maximise efficiencies across our business in the region, as they already work with our snacks business, including Pringles and Wholesome snacks", the company said in a statement.
Edelman continues to be Kellogg's lead consumer agency globally.
The firm will review its PR needs again at the end of 2017, it said.
The company made global sales of $13.5bn (£10.7bn) in the year to 2 January 2016, with 63 per cent of that generated within the US - and also works with MWWPR in the US, but not in the UK. Some UK consumer campaigns have been run by Taylor Herring in recent years.
