Manifest opens Stockholm branch amid plans to take the business global

Manifest Group has opened a new office in the Swedish capital Stockholm amid plans to set up further operations in South Africa and Australia by 2020.

Manifest Stockholm is the group's third location, joining offices in London and New York. Manifest Group was formed earlier this year after Alex Myers acquired full ownership of Manifest London and Manifest New York, having originally set up the business in partnership with another firm.

It launches with clients including sportswear brand Houdini; drinks brand Älska cider; ex-veteran recruitment firm Military Work; Scottish craft beer business Innis & Gunn, property developer Slättö; and organic peanut butter company Green Choice.

Five members of staff will operate out of the new office, which will be led by Manifest Stockholm co-founders and directors Anna Karlsson and Josefine Hedlund.

Before joining Manifest, Hedlund worked as a PR and social media freelancer at Älska cider and Green Choice, while Karlsson has a background in marketing.

"It's the right time to be bringing a new kind of communications agency to the Swedish market. The PR industry here can often be traditional in structure; but we hear that many of the most exciting brands in the country are looking to usher in a new era of creativity, integration and innovation," Karlsson said.

Speaking to PRWeek, Manifest Group CEO Alex Myers said he now wants to expand the business on a global scale, opening five offices by 2020.

"Cape Town is first up and we hope to announce that in the next calendar year. After that, we are looking at an office in Melbourne, Australia - though there are no plans for this yet," he said.
