Listen: PR 'drags off' new Lib Dem Richmond MP Sarah Olney during Talk Radio interview

An interview with Richmond's new Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Olney and broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer was halted by a member of her press team following questions about the EU Referendum and democracy.

Olney, whose party favours a second referendum on the terms of Brexit, was asked on Talk Radio whether she would be calling for a second by-election.

The incident raises the question of if PR professionals are ever right to intervene during a live interview, and if so, under what circumstances.

The incident attracted some criticism from a PR perspective.
