Eight teams from leading agencies, including two from last year's winner Michief, will compete during the live final at London's BAFTA on 19 January.
The full list of finalists is:
- Brand communications agency Bottle
- Top 10 UK PR agency FleishmanHillard Fishburn
- International communications agency Hotwire
- Two teams from Mischief
- PR and SEO agency Ready10
- Global marketing communications agency Text 100
- Creative communications agency Wire Media
On the day, the teams will receive a real brief in the morning from this year’s charity party, Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, and four hours later will have 15 minutes each on the stage at BAFTA to pitch their creative back to a high-profile judging panel and an audience of 250 people. This year, the audience will also have a vote to help decide the winner.
The final starts at 2.30pm and is followed by an evening after-party (6pm), which will include the announcement of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. For tickets, visit creativeshootout.com/tickets.
Jo Loughran from Mind and Rethink Mental Illness said: "For us, creativity is a major driver in our organisation. It’s critical we’re creative in our thinking to help shine a light on the stigma of mental health. The Creative Shootout is an awesome idea that celebrates great thinking in a radical new format. It’ll hopefully help change perception of mental health, too."
The competition was created by Launch PR founder Johnny Pitt, with PRWeek and Campaign publisher Haymarket the official media partner of this year's event.
