Watch: Ravers experience weightlessness at 28,000 feet for Desperados stunt

Tequila and dancing on the tables has a long and illustrious association, but beer brand Desperados has launched a new campaign that takes the idea to a new level: approximately 28,000 feet.

The ‘Release your inner Tequila’ campaign stunt saw ravers take to the skies over Las Vegas with Dutch DJ Mike Cervello in a plane fitted out with a dance 'floor'. The plane climbed to 28,000 feet before nose-diving intermittently to give the dancers on board the experience of weightlessness while dancing as Cervello treated them to a remixed version of his track ‘Smack!'".

Cervello is seen earlier in the film speaking to an auditory cognitive neuroscientist, who explains how to give the party-goers the ultimate experience from his track and "stretch time" as the plane nose-dives at 28,000 feet, inducing zero gravity.

Later, the ravers are seen throwing some serious shapes as they spin and somersault in the air to Cervello’s music.

The campaign was the brainchild of creative company We Are Pi, with post production and sound design by Wave. The film has been viewed more than 13,000 times since its release on YouTube and Vimeo channels.
