MEDIA: Lifestyle/beauty and fashion focus for new-look Eve

Eve, the BBC Worldwide magazine for thirtysomething women, is to focus on fashion, beauty and lifestyle under new editor Jane Bruton.

Bruton, poached from IPC's Livingetc to edit Eve (PRWeek, 25 January), starts next week.

Other changes include Samantha Warwick, currently editor of IPC's 19 magazine, taking up the role of associate editor on 29 April.

'We needed someone to give clear direction to the fashion and beauty areas. These are Sam's strengths,' Bruton said.

'The magazine is evolving. The mix will change and you will see changes from the July issue,' she added. A redesign is promised for the autumn.

Bruton brings her former deputy at Livingetc, Lucy Dunn, in as deputy editor. Dunn replaces Carol Bronze, who has left as part of the changes.

Bruton takes over from Eve launch editor Gill Hudson, who is now working on other BBC Worldwide projects.
