Girl Scouts' interim CEO Sylvia Acevedo: We aren't just about selling cookies

At the 2016 PRWeek Conference, the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.'s interim CEO emphasized the importance of keeping the more-than-100-year-old organization's story relevant.

"Our business is we take girl potential and add programming, [which is] usually where other organizations stop," the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.'s interim CEO, Sylvia Acevedo said. "We add leadership programming and troop leaders that develop social capital, making sure they can turn activities and leadership into potential."

After her 2016 PRWeek Conference presentation, Acevedo talked more about the organization's impactful mission.
