'Epic' battle on for consumer PR brief at MoneySupermarket

MoneySupermarket.com is inviting pitches for a consumer brief, PRWeek has learned.

Moneysupermarket is comparing the market for a new consumer agency
The price comparison website, which specialises in financial services such as mortgages and credit cards, is believed to be holding a crucial pitch meeting for shortlisted agencies this week.

Eulogy held the consumer brief between 2008 and 2012 and the account went back in-house for a short time. Splendid Communications has also worked with MoneySupermarket on organic SEO. 

The company has become known of late for its ad campaigns featuring 'Epic Dave' strutting his stuff in urban settings.

The FTSE 250-listed company said it was on track for a "record year" earlier this month and attributed this to a rise in insurance revenues.

John Lewis head of retail Mark Lewis was recently announced as MoneySupermarket’s new chief executive and will take up his new role next spring.

MoneySupermarket declined to comment.
