Nye leaves Novartis for GK
Public affairs consultancy GK Strategy has taken on Andrew Nye in the new role of head of health and social care. He will oversee clients including Vifor Pharma, healthcare body The Shelford Group and staffing firm HCL Workforce Solutions. He had spent the past five years as a senior corporate affairs manager at pharma giant Novartis, running UK corporate comms and group public affairs. He has also previously worked as head of comms at Islington Council, and for mental health charity Umbrella.
Headland wins asset manager
Asset manager Profile Financial has appointed Headland to launch a new customer proposition. The pensions specialist has briefed the agency with raising brand awareness among people not currently saving for a pension.
Spabreaks.com hires White Tiger
Spa days and spa holidays website Spabreaks.comhas taken on London travel agency White Tiger PR to handle its PR, on what the agency calls a "six-month, multi-layered campaign which aims to increase brand awareness and build Spabreaks.com’s client base".
Vivona joins Social
Manchester-based Social Communications has appointed Michael Vivona, formerly the leader of the Conservative group on Surrey's Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and before that a staffer for several MPs, as a senior consultant. He was previously an account manager at Curtin&Co. Social Communications recently hired former HS2 spokesman Ben Ruse to open a London office.
Financial Times for Luminescence
Cambridge agency Luminescence has been give a three-year contract to produce the Financial Times' annual thought leadership report on social impact investing by family offices. It following the agency's work on the FT Investing for Global Impact report this year. The project will be led by the agency's head of content Anna Lawlor.
