The agency has also announced the appointment of Ian Edmondson, formerly assistant editor at the UK newspaper News of the World, as a director in London.
New York-based Hall becomes CEO of Talker Tailor USA, reporting to agency co-founders Gary Wheeldon and Steve Strickland, respectively the former global MD and global executive creative director at M&C Saatchi PR in London.
Clients in New York will include diet programme Balafive, jewellery brand Dinosaur Designs and online retailer Social Superstore, the agency said.
Wheeldon said of Hall, who was US MD at M&C Saatchi PR until March and had previously worked at agencies including Burson-Marsteller and MSLGroup: "We’ve worked with her before and know how she operates and we like it."
Edmondson’s role is to lead on media strategy and crisis and issues response. As well as News of the World, he was formerly news editor of The People and editor of Loaded Magazine.
Strickland said: "PRs underestimate the power and importance of editorial news and the value of newspapers. Ian doesn’t and that makes him... essential to our business successes moving forward."
Talker Tailor’s other clients include theatre companies Lost Watch and Hyphen, and fragrance brand Handsome London.
