Marks & Spencer created its ‘Spark Something Good’ campaign to inspire employees, customers and the nation as a whole to help out in their communities.
The goal was to mobilise a large number of volunteers, many of whom were company staff, to transform 24 local community projects in 24 hours. These included a children’s play area, a community farmyard and a soup kitchen.
The first day was held in London in partnership with social-good platform Neighbourly.com and events in other cities were scheduled for subsequent days.
The initiative was a hit with staff and the wider public alike.
