Beach joins Portland

Daniel Beach has joined Portland as a director in its health team in London. He joins from Ketchum, where he was also a director, and he has previously worked in-house and for agencies including Just:: Health (now known as Havas Just::) and GCI Health. He will report to Jane Brearley, who took over as Portland's health chief when Louise Fish left at the end of last year.

Win for MHP financial team

MHP Communications has been appointed by The Vitec Group, an international supplier of equipment and services to the broadcast and photographic markets, to advise on its financial PR. Last month, MHP's financial team picked up another piece of business when it won Saga, which had previously retained FTI Consulting.

House PR wins Kew Green

House PR has been appointed to handle trade PR for Kew Green Group, which operates more than 50 hotels across the UK, mostly under franchise agreements from brands including Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza. It previously worked to launch four new ibis Styles hotels last year for Kew Green. PRWeek revealed last month that House PR was in talks to be acquired by W Communications.

PHA Media wins high-end gym

PHA Media has been appointed by high-end London gym City Athletic on a brief to promote its team of personal trainers and coaches.

26 Letters PR expands

Specialist property PR firm 26 Letters PR has set up a Manchester office. The agency was founded last year by David Martin, who will initially split his time between Manchester and its London HQ.
