NEW YORK: Publicize has launched Publicize Zero, a product for startups that want to build their profile.
The platform gives businesses that want to execute a PR campaign a step-by-step process, educational resources such as webinars, and access to professional counsel from strategists. The firm’s other services include writing press releases and coming up with media strategy plans.
Founded in 2014 by Conrad Egusa, a former VentureBeat writer, Publicize’s goal is to disrupt the industry by sharing its know-how inexpensively. After its launch, the shop catered to entrepreneurs, whom Egusa felt were being price-gouged by larger PR firms.
"There’s no transparency in the industry in how PR pros approach the media," Egusa said. "We’re trying to introduce that transparency. It shouldn’t be this black box. Our goal is to deconstruct the process to make it easy enough to use for any person in the world."
Publicize’s two most popular products are its PR service, priced at $399 per month, and its premium enterprise service. The firm said it has more than 100 clients, most of which are in the technology sector.
In July, Publicize launched a partnership with the Founder Institute, through which it provides free or discounted PR services to startups.
Publicize is headquartered in Medellin, Colombia, with offices in New York and San Francisco.
