Poole has been at Weber Shandwick for about 12 years, including almost two years in his current role. He is set to join Citypress as a director.

Weber Shandwick Manchester chairman Jon McLeod said: "Andy has been a great servant of the company and we wish him well."

Kate Macnamara was most recently UK & Ireland comms manager at Goodyear Dunlop. Before that she was PR director and head of Grayling Midlands, where she advised clients including Jaguar Land Rover, Deloitte and Business Birmingham.

Macnamara’s new role at Citypress is associate director and co-head of the Birmingham office.

Both appointments follow arrival of Ruth Clifford in June as director of social media from Golin London, where she was digital director.

Citypress employs around 70 consultants across offices in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Edinburgh. It is ranked 48 in PRWeek’s Top 150 UK PR consultancies league table, with UK revenue of £5.1m in 2015.

Citypress has also won Silver in the medium-sized agency category in PRWeek’s Best Places to Work Awards for two consecutive years.
