'We will start the brief with a media tour aimed at new and existing consumers,' said Mere director Sarah Perrins, who will head a four-strong account team. She will report to NTL Home regional marketing manager Louise Lomas and media relations head Malcolm Padley.
NTL Home has eight regional business units. Mere's appointment is the first to assist the media company's regional rollout of its new broadbrand service.
'The north-west is an important patch for us. We appointed Mere on its consumer experience and contacts in the area,' Padley said.
NTL has three million customers. PR operations are run by Padley's nine-strong team at the company's HQ. 'PR support for our other regional interests is handled in-house,' Padley added.
