Trio of CEOs, CMOs headline lineup for PRWeek Conference

Sessions with prominent journalists are also on the agenda.

NEW YORK: Top business executives such as Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. interim CEO Sylvia Acevedo are headlining the 2016 PRWeek Conference in New York City.

The theme of this year’s PRWeek Conference, which is scheduled for October 13, is The Value Proposition. While communications has established a role in the C-suite, the next step of becoming the preeminent voice the CEO and other executives turn to in every instance is the Holy Grail for PR.

At this year’s PRWeek Conference, attendees will not only learn how to cement that coveted place in the C-suite, but have the rare opportunity to do so by hearing directly from business leaders.

The event is bookended by Cosgrove and Big Machine Label Group CEO Scott Borchetta, with a midday keynote by Acevedo.

Throughout the day, attendees will also hear from marketing executives such as GE CMO Linda Boff, who will be joined by chief communications officer Deirdre Latour; Berta de Pablos-Barbier, VP of marketing at Mars Chocolate North America; and Arby’s CMO Rob Lynch.

One of the industry’s most popular annual events, the PRWeek 40 Under 40 Awards and Dinner, will follow the conference.
