The agency, which employs 25 people, will take on Hayman as an account director.
Founded by Leanne Tritton in 1999, ING's current property specialism is a shift from a previous focus on areas including the restaurants, FMCG and food sector.
Hayman has been at Property Week for two years, having previously worked for titles in the UK and abroad including Building, Local Government Chronicle, Regeneration & Renewal, The Phnom Penh Post and the Japan Times.
In the past 12 months, ING has added clients including architecture practice AL_A, developers Evans Randall and HB Reavis, MIPIM conference owner MIDEM Events and Legacy Foundation, the affordable property group established by footballers Rio Ferdinand, Mark Noble and Bobby Zamora.
Last year the firm appointed Dominic Morgan as a director - Morgan is also a former Property Week deputy editor, although he has worked for various agencies including FTI Consulting since his stint at the magazine ended in 1997.
