Online platform lending trust VPC hires MHP

VPC Specialty Lending Investments, the listed investment trust for online lending platforms, has hired MHP as its financial PR and corporate affairs adviser following a competitive pitch. The account was previously held by Newgate Threadneedle.

European rugby body EPCR appoints UEFA’s Martyn Hindley

European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR), the organiser of the European Rugby Champions Cup, Challenge Cup and Challenge Cup Qualifying tournaments, has hired Martyn Hindley as head of comms and PR. He was previously corporate communications specialist at UEFA, European football’s governing body. Prior to that, he was previously a radio journalist where he commentated on a variety of sports.

New charity head at The PR Office

Kerrie Josephs has joined PRWeek UK Top 150 agency The PR Office as account director, and head of its charity team. She most recently freelanced for nutrition PR agency Nutrilicious. She is joined in the team by new account manager Rosie Dean, previously of Myriad Public Relations.

Roborace hires Mind Candy comms chief

Roborace, the driverless racing contest, has hired Mind Candy head of communications and people Victoria Tomlinson as global head of PR and comms, ahead of its launch. The first season of Roborace, which has been created by London investment firm Kinetik, is to launch during the 2016/2017 "Formula E" season (for electric cars) in various cities and additional venues worldwide.

Rooster PR to handle PR for Women in Travel

The Women in Travel Meetup, the international event for women in travel, has hired Rooster PR to handle its press office. The agency will handle media relations and run social channels for the event, which was launched in 2014.
