Macandrew? Govier? Or maybe a super sub? Time to choose PRWeek fantasy football captain

As domestic football returns this week after the international break, the search for a consummate comms pro to captain PRWeek UK's fantasy football team continues.

Last month PRWeek put together a dream team of 16 comms pros - a starting 11 and five substitutes - including some of PR’s best known and highest powered people.

While new England manager Sam Allardyce plumped for long-term skipper Wayne Rooney to carry on wearing the armband for the Three Lions, Dynamo PRWeek’s management decided democracy was the way forward.

Unity co-founder Nik Govier and Thomas Cook comms director Alice Macandrew are the front-runners for captaincy in the vote so far.

But there is still time to vote before the captain is announced next week, and now the options have been opened up to include the five substitutes, among whom are former Blair right-hand man Alastair Campbell, and Four Communications Group CEO Nan Williams.
