Describe yourself, your site/channels and how you got started.
I began running social-networking sites in May 2014, then moved on to create my YouTube channel with a girly theme. In the beginning, I used an iPad for filming and editing, but have progressed to Canon cameras and an Apple MacBook for video production.
How have you worked with brands or causes?
I have worked with brands to promote products across YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
What kind of collaborations with brands work best for you?
I find brand collaborations work best when there is not a dedicated video requirement. I prefer to include promotions within a video that suits my channel best. However, I love Instagram collaborations as it’s such a good promotional vehicle.
What works less well and what would you not do?
I wouldn’t create a whole dedicated video around a large topic as a collaboration. Rather than attracting people to the promotion it turns people away, which leads to negative feedback.
What is your favourite social-media platform and why?
Definitely YouTube. I’ve created a bond with my viewers and they know exactly when a new video is uploaded. Everyone is so supportive and it’s like a little family.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself still making YouTube videos. I would love to be travelling the world while doing something that I am passionate about.
