DEARBORN, MI: Ford has brought on Jiyan Cadiz to run product communications in North America for the auto company’s line of trucks and commercial vehicles.
In the role, Cadiz will report to Mike Levine, Ford North America product communications manager, according to an internal Ford memo obtained by PRWeek. Cadiz was not immediately available for comment.
Cadiz spent 10 years at Fiat Chrysler, where he worked on product communications for Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. He held roles as media events specialist and manager for two separate product lines during his tenure.
Ford’s comms team has three strategic objectives: Improve Ford’s reputation among all target audiences; help build Ford’s purchase consideration; and improving upon the team’s comms ability and experience, the memo noted.
Ford has made a few changes to its communications team this year. In July, Brad Carroll joined from Export-Import Bank of the United States as manager of finance and legal communications.
The Detroit-based company also made leadership changes in Europe and Asia. Greg Dawson, formerly of Samsung and Virgin Atlantic, joined Ford this month to lead Europe communications; and Karen Hampton, formerly head of Asia Pacific communications, was promoted to executive director of Ford Smart Mobility Communications.
