Mountain Warehouse brings consumer in-house

Outdoor clothing retailer Mountain House has brought its consumer PR in-house, having yesterday appointed Harriet Sweet of fashion retailer Radley as PR manager, and ending its relationship with House PR. It had previously worked with the agency for more than a year, but said it hoped to continue working with the agency, which is in talks to be acquired by W, on an ad hoc basis. Bell Pottinger will continue to serve as its corporate PR agency.

Lewis honoured by CIPR

A former Downing Street director of comms is one of two people named as honorary fellows of the CIPR. Simon Lewis, who worked at Vodafone before his time at Number 10 and has since become CEO of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, is the 25th person to be given the honour. The CIPR has given the same accolade to Jean Valin, the Canadian whose work has included founding international trade body the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

PHA's pair of wins

PHA Media has won two new clients. It will run a three-month paid campaign for the charity Music Venue Trust, which will emphasise the crucial role grassroots venues play in the development of artists and the country's musical life. It has also been tasked with managing 4th Base Cosmetics' communications strategy for the launch of the NKDb range to the UK market.

Sesui appoints Neo PR

Cloud-based telephony and contact centre provider Sesui has appointed Neo PR to handle its UK PR and social media campaigns, including capitalising on the Oxford company having been one of the winners of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2016.

Babel hired by Netscout

Business assurance and cybersecurity firm Netscout Systems has appointed Babel as its retained UK PR agency to lead a multi-market brand awareness and b2b media relations campaign across Europe.

Montane appoints Karol

Karol Marketing has been appointed as the retained UK PR agency of Montane, an outdoor clothing brand that creates lightweight, breathable clothing and equipment for endurance sports and activities.
