Purple's senior promotions

Purple Entertainment has promoted Anna Meacham to the role of international head of entertainment, and Emma Philpott to the role of international head of entertainment and sport. The pair will report to the company founder and CEO Carl Fysh. Meacham joined the company six years ago, and Philpott seven years ago. Clients include Bjork, The Chemical Brothers, Alicia Keys and Lewis Hamilton. Purple is the UK's 49th largest agency and has London and New York offices.

Potts returns to Octopus

Katie Potts has joined tech specialist Octopus Group as client director. She previously worked at the agency between 2008 and 2014, and has since held in-house roles at telco firm Inmarsat and professional services group Accenture. Octopus, the UK's 51st biggest firm, now has more than 80 'Octopedes'.

Taylor Herring's Samsung brief

Taylor Herring has been engaged on a project basis by Samsung, to promote the firm's musical festival virtual reality experience featuring Scottish rock group Biffy Clyro. The band have partnered with Samsung to create an immersive music video for the track Flammable, which will be showcased within a giant touring experiential structure at this summer's Boardmasters Festival, Glasgow Summer Sessions and Bestival events.

Just appoints digital head

Manchester's Just PR & Marketing has appointed Bradley Agnew as head of digital. Before this new role he was head of sales and marketing at the management consultancy Smith Bellerby.
