MEDIA: Vincent to revamp Investors Chronicle content and design

The newly appointed editor of Investors Chronicle, Matthew Vincent, is to revamp its design in a drive to boost circulation.

Vincent joins the Financial Times Business private investment publication from its online edition, where he was head of content for two years.

He replaces Ceri Jones who has left IC after six years for a career break.

'IC is historically a polite and modest magazine, but I aim to signpost loyal and new readers to the quality team of 30 writers providing excellent independent advice,' said Vincent.

He previously worked for five years as editor at Moneywise, and presenter of BBC2's personal finance programme Pound-for-Pound.

During the tech boom of 2000, IC readership reached 75,000 - a natural increase in a rising market.

More emphasis on features and a less formal style are the noticeable changes the existing 51,121 readers can expect within two months, he added.
