INTERNATIONAL: Craddock takes over as Text 100 former MD quits

HONG KONG: Simon Craddock has taken the reins as Text 100 Hong Kong managing director in the wake of former MD Melanie Hamilton's resignation to relocate to China and set up her own business.

Hamilton, who set up Text 100's Hong Kong office in 1999, said: 'I am leaving to do something new besides working at an agency, that is not PR-related.'

Craddock makes the move from South Africa, where he most recently completed a two-year tenure heading Text 100's Johannesburg and Cape Town offices as country manager.

Craddock's appointment comes hot on the heels of Singapore MD John Kerr's planned move to Japan, in the wake of which former Text 100 senior account director Angie Tuc, will take over his role.

Text 100 director, Asia-Pacific, Matthew Ravden, said: 'We see huge potential returns in North Asia and are evolving our management structure to cater better to these markets.'
