Slight has been with Edelman's London digital division for the past two-and-a-half years, latterly as an associate director.
Her experience before this included a variety of in-house and agency contract roles, working with brands such as M&S, John Lewis, BMW and L’Oreal Paris.
Slight's arrival sees Way to Blue create a new specialist global team across the 120-employee agency's UK, US, Canada, Australia and European offices. It also means LightBrigade PR founder Alan Twigg, who joined the agency in March, takes on a global role as group director of consumer, among other promotions.
In May, PRWeek revealed that Matt Groves had resigned as MD of Edelman UK's digital division less than a year after being appointed. The firm said it would scrap the standalone team and integrate digital capabilities across the business.
In addition to working with Way to Blue clients including NBCUniversal, Amazon, Hamleys and Yo! Sushi, Slight will lead Way to Blue's new influencer business iN.
The agency's CEO Adam Rubins said: "Our business has grown significantly in the past three years and this restructure is designed to maximise opportunity within the group, both for our clients and our talent. The goal here is to create a fully global and integrated structure, one we believe will be a footprint for all agencies moving forward."
